Under the guidelines set by the NMC, nurses and midwives must revalidate every three years on the date they are due to apply for their registration renewal.   • Reflective Accounts:
    • 5 reflective accounts based on CPD, feedback, or practice experience.
    • Must be completed on the official NMC Reflective Account form – other formats will be rejected.
    • If reflective accounts are incomplete or incorrect prior to booking, you will not be able to proceed with your reflective discussion.
  • Reflective Discussion:
    • Must be carried out with another nurse or midwife.
  • Confirmation:
    • An appropriate confirmer must verify your revalidation.
    • You must also confirm your details directly with the NMC.
  • Health and Character:
    • You must declare that you are capable of safe and effective practice.
  • Professional Indemnity:
    • You must confirm that you have appropriate indemnity cover in place.
